Dinner Devotionals: Distracting or Divine?
Question: “If Jesus came to your house for dinner, what meal would you serve and what would you talk about?”
Four-year-old answer: “Well, Jesus would sit next to me. We would have macaroni and cheese and chicken nuggets, and He would get to have chocolate milk in a grown up cup. We would have plain white ice cream for dessert. And we would talk about my favorite toys and how my day was at school.”
Aww, isn’t that just too cute?

Mothers Day {hello Monday}
May 20, 2013 by · Leave a Comment
For Mothers Day, we took a last minute roadtrip. We sent the kiddos out back to play, as we packed bags. We were out the door in 20 mins.
Once on the road, we told the kids that we were going camping. They gave thumbs up in approval.
Brown County State Park is one of our favorite places to explore.
Hubby and I would camp with family before we had kids.
We would take day dates and go hiking/running.
Ran a 50 mile relay race.
And have taken our kiddos there.

Make a wish:
This morning I clicked on my bible app and knew exactly how I could put it into practice today. Heres what it said:
"Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:11
I have known Leanne for a long time, I am honored to know her. She was always full of life and laughter in school, and it's carried over into motherhood. She's a beautiful momma of 3 boys and a little girl. And this little girl is who I want to talk about. Maddie Read more [...]

Hello Monday, though this is a few weeks later. I wanted to share some photos from our vacation (the fun part, you can read about the not so fun part here.)
I would love this view everyday. Definetly make Mondays easier to deal with, don't you think?
Days were filled with going to the beach- flying kites
relaxing listening to the waves, jouranaling,
having a good time
or taking a break from the ocean to do some tricks in the pool.

Hitting the pavement...
Feels so good
Healthy
Fierce
competitive
Persistent
Improving
Fearless
Grateful
Focused
unstoppable
Happy
Powerful
disciplined
Alive
But there there's one HUGE issue that stands in my way
INCONSISTENCY
Feeling awkward each time I start-up running again. The shortness of breath, stabs of pain in your side, and your muscles promising you'll regret this tomorrow.
Working on letting remembering what running makes me feel Read more [...]

Mended on friendships {final part}
As I wrap up this Mended or on the way to series, let me just say that this one is the hardest.
You can read part one here and part two here.
Friendships can make or break you at times.
Lately I feel as though it's shattering what little of me is left.
Feeling as though I'm being left out of friendships.
I do not trust easy, and can easily disconnect from people. (Realizing this and its a work in process not to do this)
Hate when friendships seem to take Read more [...]

Easter baskets haven been packed away..
April 16, 2013 by · 6 Comments
The Easter baskets have been packed away. The Peeps have been eaten. Little dresses and suits have been dry cleaned, and the “nice” shoes that were saved for church can be worn anytime now. The excitement from all the egg hunts and Easter lunches is all over, spring breaks have come and gone, and families are settling back into their routines.
Now what?
How do you keep the Easter story in your heart now that the Resurrection Sunday has passed?
More importantly, how do you help your children Read more [...]
